Oh no, not this again. First of all, DIC is not tropical or whatever and even if it was, it's not that popular anymore. Let's move on - DIC is nowhere near to be radio ready, not in 2018 not for Gaga. The all kinds of edits people would want it to get to make it fit for the radio, would not make sense whatsoever. This ship has sailed. Long long time ago.

I would love DiC to become a single but to have your 3rd single come out over a year since you last one is tragic as fvck :neyde: anyways here’s to LG6 and ASiB for 2018

Yeah, I know. It really is not.

It is.

Spoiler

If you don't think it is doesn't necessary mean it's not tropical at all. There is a reason why so many people, both fans and critics notice tropical (influences) in the song. Maybe you think of tropical as ''tropical house'', which is not.

No, it's not. Sorry. I've never seen one critic saying DIC has tropical vibes and even if I did that would not change a thing, since the song is not tropical at all, the fans said so, yes. And no, I do not mean tropical house.

That is only your opinion. The song really has a Jamaican feel and there were plenty of critics which said so.

And this is only your opinion, too. As I've said, I did not see a critic saying it's a tropical song, bc it's not. Jamaican is not tropical. If anything, it has reagge, dance, pop, latina influences, but tropical means something kinda different, especially nowadays.

Jamaican is tropical and this is a fact. :air: As I said, there is a reason why fans agree that the song is tropical, it's because the sound makes you think of tropical.

Slate about Dancin' in Circles: It also genuflects to the recent tropical house trend. (One of the plenty of critics which noticed tropical in DiC).

The fans do not agree it is tropical, as it is confirmed by this very conversation we are having. Jamaican music is not tropical music by todays standards. And didn't you say yourself it's not tropical house?

:rip:

But the majority of fans thinks so and I really think you think of tropical as ''tropical house''.

I think you're kinda loosing it here. I'm not a girl or a sis, nor do I think DIC is tropical house or confusing tropical with tropical house. This conversation leads to nowhere as the majority of fans do not think it is or its not a tropical sounding song. The polls were made here, and yes, 30 something people voted it has tropical influences, they can be just as wrong as you are on this topic, still, it does not mean it is tropical. Slant said it's genuflecting the tropical house, still it does not mean it is a tropical song, does it? Anyway, we've been through this many times for the past year and there's still no consensus other than The Cure is the closest to Gaga doing tropical house and DIC having many influences, mainly reagge and dance.
