GagasPussy 312
YES! STARSTRUCK DESERVED SINGLE TREATMENT. It went platinum basically without single treament, no music video, and major label radio promotion. It would have been easily the biggest hit of Gaga career. It could have given Poker Face a run for its money. I believe it would have went diamond and sold just as much if not more than Poker Face 14 million sales worldwide. Flo Rida was Huge back then and Gaga was an upcoming rising pop star everyone was falling in love with. The song is infectious. Catchy hooks and verses. Great beat. Signature Rap feature. Simple message about love and a crush as a relationship or with fame. Another solid number one song. Gaga and Interscope should have prolonged and milked her FAME/ FAME MONSTER ERA as much as they could before she decided to evolve and sacrifice her commercial appeal for artistic evolution. It was her commercial peak. Any song from the Fame could have been a top ten hit and some songs remaining from the singles we had on the album had number one chart potential. Starstruck should have been a single after LoveGame and B4 Paparazzi The Fame monster should have had 1 or 2 more singles (Monster + Speechless( hit ballad) b4 Born This Way era. little legend 0
Yes! It should have been a single I still listen it (not often of course) on the radio, clubs and etc, and the GP knows this song. Monster too
Delulu Rogers 7,300
It would have smashed. Should have came right after PF. I mean, it's almost platinum and that says something. The GP would have ate it up and flo Rider was huge back then. Easily a top 5 hit
Doot 2
As much as I love the song, I’m fully satisfied with the single choices that era. The first two albums had the 100% perfect single choices, so I feel anything else would have probably not hit as hard. I would have replaced Beautiful Dirty Rich with Starstruck tho, for sure. I like how they stuck to their guns with the choices then. Nowadays, if they would have seen it rise slightly on iTunes, they would cancel all current plans for the current single and scrap it for that.
