But for example, I don't hate jewish people, I don't discriminate when I am in contact with them, I respect their religion and culture, I even went several times as a volunteer in their community center. On the other hand, I am completely against the Israeli policies and all what The state of Israel is doing and has done. So my point is that these two concepts can also be very disconnected. Bazaar 5,752
What an awful thing to do, she has fans all over the world that want to see her live but with a little political pressure and she backs off. I lost all my respect and sympathy to her just when I heard that.

Ziggy 11,874
Hmmm...I applaud her for taking a stance. It’s never going to please everyone as this issue isn’t SO contested, but I applaud her for being engaged and taking a stance.

Epione 10,896
Go Palestine. I support Lorde's decision. I think this is a good way to draw some attention to the issue. And yes, I think that celebrities should use their voice.
ctherainbow 3,162
She gonna boycott every country with problematic foreign policy? This is the easy way out, and there are far better ways she could handle this. Like someone else suggested, have the concert anyway, but donate the proceeds to a Palestinian aid and development organization. That way you can let your fans see you in concert, while still making a point about the situation and helping the people you're saying you care about. This whole "oh, let's 'raise awareness'" bullshit that my generation is so obsessed with is stupid. Don't stop at raising awareness, move past that and DO something concrete. This is the easy way out, and makes it feel like it's being done out of concern for her personal safety or to avoid backlash from ignorant people who have no personal investment in the Israel/Palestine dispute, and who would rather complain on the internet than help the situation. Edit: Also, Merry Christmas, ya'll. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.

FunBuns 596
i have no words but then again, we're only a tiny world in a big universe, not making even a dot on the big picture, so... luckily, all your false allegations mean nothing and you should also be more picky about what you say... keep drinking milk and eating meat and while you're at it try standing on the good side of history while in 100-200 years from now you'll (actually won't) find out you were on the extremely wrong side. oh and ignore Syria while you're at it. you can't even compare because... it's funny. blaming israel for stealing a land they actually own and it's a fact like, decide what game you wanna play if you wanna play the "who was there" game so yeah jews lived in this region before islam was even a thing but unfortunately thanks to people like you they were removed. remember the rumoured ARTPOP title 'never again'? so yes, this. and if you wanna play the peace game, turn to your beloved politicians... israel's leader is a far-right one who obviously feeds jews all over the world with "terror drama" that is actually real but he's using it too much and as to arab leaders they don't want peace so there's no partner to deal with you can either force both israel and "palestine" like... get the UN working the government of each if you so desire. just make "palestine"lol terror stop. got it? i think you didn't... feel free to attack, you barely know the truth, which actually is one-sided... but i'll let you come with hateful comments and disgusting energies to debate... but you know what? i do know what you don't and i don't give a **** at this point. i already know what it's like. no country should be ashamed or be quiet about its capital city. but the world can't take it as fact that jerusalem ("ירושלים") is israel's ("ישראל") capital? like, do you even know both start with the same HOLY letter in hebrew? because they represent a holy land and a holy city? yeah, not only to the jews. no one is dumb. people who know israel know the diversity it offers. and truly, you don't. and by saying this i refer to all those who blame it falsely. it's just funny. and to be honest, i think israel needs to evolve a lot in terms of finance and gay marriage and other subjects that aren't related... but lol. they even put terrorists with blood on their hands in prison where they actually learn what they want so they'll find jobs with ease when they leave like wtf. w. t. f. and they kill hundreds of people. you know israeli people noticed it but didn't get an appropriate answer as to why it happens? the stigma is real and i won't be there to bother talking with people who hate people. thing is i care for the people who live in GAZA just as i care for people who live in this very nice place called ISRAEL. and G-A-Z-A deserves good leaders, they deserve to get, yeah, the electricity that israel tries to deliever but it fails you wonder why? because of their leaders... they send bombs from hospitals and kindergartens so israel's gonna look bad when it defends itself... i wrote all this and i'm sure everything is 100% pure truth. you can come fight but really i have no interest. it's just a cruel world, but a world that means nothing. you think we're so advanced, 2017, right? no. wait for the future. you've seen nothing. and you're on the very wrong part of history. but it's okay... it happened before, probably will happen again. www.soundcloud.com/aphrodisio

Yeah I think if you were a European Jew, you’d want to get out of Europe when all your family and everyone you knew were slaughtered and no one came to your rescue until Nazis tried to come for their land... This statement is so ignorant

This statement is so ignorant they were killed in plenty of ways you can actually write a best-seller about it. yet people still believe israel should be divided and israelis should go back to europe. like, where'd they go? ladies and gentlemen, israelis feel unsafe (and that's an understatement) when they're out there anywhere. for them coming back to israel is, you know, touring the world is fun, but coming back is a HUGE relief. and i can understand why. Israel knows how to deal with terror, the world... doesn't. and the world needs to listen and care with more a rational mindset. www.soundcloud.com/aphrodisio
