SDG91 373
Taylor and Ariana for sure. I’d say Dua Lipa and Camila Cabello have potential as well.
Werk 13,166
Do they have to be literally new to the spotlight cause if so Taylor shouldn't count as new. She's been here for long
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Ya'll saying Dua Lipa when she barely has 1 album and is still relatively unknown outside of the UK There are a lot of girls on the peripheries of being "pop girls" publicly, but she doesnt have nearly enough exposure. People at this stage fade out all of the time, so time will tell. Meanwhile, Camila, while known already, doesnt even have an allbum out So give that time too. I imagine if she's successful with her debut and can pull out a few more singles from it, she might stick around. (Meanwhile, RIP 5H ) I'll say Ariana, Selena, and Meghan. They truly blossomed in the public's eye around 2013-2015, but seem to have staying power and I expect will remain around as popular in the coming yearsMeghan's 3rd era will determine it probably) I'm sure I've forgot people. Oh, Demi, though like Ari + Selena, she "debuted" a bit earlier, but has imo still yet to truly peak, she can still churn out hits and people know her as a judge too. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
2ndTimeAround 664
Gomez and Lovato have had a successful last couple of years and are becoming established as pop forces. Sorry not sorry was huge this year and the features she has done have been successful

I don't think Dua or Camila are close to "legends" I guess they are "new" pop girls... though the thread specifically states new pop girls who dominate the charts, and Dua/Camila are quite local to the United States, nothing global. Well, idk so much about this but I don't think they are "local". I'm from Spain and Dua Lipa with New Rules and Camila with Havana and Never Be The Same are always playing on the radio. Both have so much impact here, that's why I said that.

No one has sticked around since the last batch (Gaga, Ri, Kesha, Katy) besides maybe Ariana. Everyone I know told me they'd think Gaga was dead if I wasn't talking about her new stuff this but a million times. No lies detected. Jed 7,716
Honestly there aren’t many besides Ariana. Dua might have a nice thing going right now but if we don’t consider Meghan trainor a pop girl and she had a more successful era we can consider dua one yet. She needs a second album. Camila I GUESS but Havana wreaks of one hit wonder
LordEnigma 11,313
You put Kesha over Taylor (I think kesha is much more talented but...) DE.LU.SIO.NAL yeah she was “country” but she was played a lot on pop radio.

It makes me laugh when people say Dua Lipa is a LEGEND. I got told that by a user today... Shes good - but that doesn’t matter. Everyone thought Tove Lo and Carly would be icons yet no one buys their albums anymore (even though I think they both have solid releases).
