Jed 7,716
literally all you ever care about is flopping and how it'll make you look. You don't even care about the movie just if it will make the other fanbases make you look bad
Aga Gydal 3,158
I don’t have a lot of faith in it being a hit with critics because La La Land comparisons are inevitable and it’ll be their respective debuts (him directing, her leading a film), but assuming it’s marketed well I can see it doing pretty well box office-wise. I just don’t know if it’s supposed to be a crazy irreverent take on the story, or a modest country take, or a glam pop take. Again, marketing is everything. Mr S 8,673
If I had to guess, I would guess a mediocre success. One thing is for sure, I don't think it can flop like Glitter. Mariah was dumb in that she was literally the only notable person. Gaga is following Whitney more, in that the co-star is a HUGE name too. Even if the movie is bad, people will also be going to see Bradley Cooper. Like already mentioned, the soundtrack is the wild card. If it hits, it can carry the movie like what happened with The Bodyguard, Space Jams, Waiting to Exhale, etc. Though with anything Gaga related, it's best to predict a flop and then be pleasantly surprised lol
pedrohemg 7,802
Not even close to La La Land. It they believed it'd be a smash, they'd release it after September and not on May.
