You could be right, it didn't do that well in France and Australia but maybe with a video and official promo it could have done well. In my eyes it always sounded like it fit so well into a body of work and it was amazing as a tour opener but I just never imagined it as a stand alone single and I just can't imagine that one song being performed at award shows and things (even though the brit awards was great)

But she performed it at the Brit Awards

I think DITD with a killer video would be the smartest choice, the song was praised by the critics from what I've read. I don't think it would be as commercially successful as BR or Telephone but it would be a great move i the academic sense.

I do really like the fact that TFM got a holy trinity of singles.

I love DITD the most but it would have been an other major Madonna comparison. So inbetween the Alejandro video and the release of Born This Way, it would have been a bit too much. I do think it would have been succesful tho and I don't see how people say it's not radiofriendly. It completely is.

But I'd go with Monster.

Wasn't DitD the 4th single in Europe? I think I remember reading that in Wikipedia.
