"like crazy" sis if you compare it to what other artists do that was regular promo. Side to Side had as many performances as Million Reasons and also spend some time discounted. No one calls it Performance to Performance or Discount to Discount (Swastika to Swastika at most because of the Nicki Minaj feature)

Also that Super Bowl and discount argument is weak. Songs have been discounted double the amount of time of MR and still fail to reach even 600k. The SuperBowl hasnt affected a single as greatly as MR. If it was as easy to get a Top 5 after the SB Coldplay, Beyonce, Madonna etc’s singles would done the same.

MR was discounted 8 weeks out of it's 20 week BB chart run, 'There's Nothing Holding Me Back Now" by Shawn Mendes was discounted during more than 80% of its chart run, i think it was a record breaking 15 weeks (it also peaked lower than MR btw)

In my delusional state of mind I have come to the conclusion that they have basically remixed The Cure and re-launch it as a single. Gaga has been seem working with all the songwriters/producers of the song lately, maybe they decided that the current version needs to be updated. The Cure 2.0, aka something nobody really asked for
