You better be a dear and not mention single sales since 2013. And tbh the gap is not that big, especially when you remember that our girl released more albums. Not to spoil the usual fun but yeah, just wanted to point that out.

I think you should also consider that both of Katy's figures are 88% Prism, which just indicates probably one of the most steep declines in music industry. Even with Gaga releasing one album more in between, the album to album jumps show more stability despite the album market shrinking dramatically every year. Long and steady wins the race, a headstart will run out.

Lady Gaga was considered a flop since 2013 meanwhile Miss perry was on the top of her game since her very begining

Wow and that's with more singles, more music videos, more touring and more promotion than Gaga. Plus this year's ticket bundles.

Well, you should have put that in your post. I agree, Gaga is doing fine, Katy is declining. But since you did not insert your explanation, it gave the impression that you’re just bragging about questionable stats.

And now it’s the opposite. Let’s just wait and see how it’s gonna play out in the coming years.

Tho I know Gaga will have at least stable medium sized success for years to come. As for Katy, well, she’s in danger.

To be honest I think Katy Perry has more chances to get another smash hit in the coming years than Lady Gaga, just my opinion though...

Yes, Feels by Calvin Harris, featuring Pharrell Williams, Big Sean and Katy Perry was a cute hit.

The problem is that Gaga doesn't want to have hits anymore :selena:

why are we all acting like if Gaga can’t generate another top 10, “The Cure” is proof of that, she could easily have properly promoted & released a music video and it would have shot up from the #29 spot to the Top 10, her streaming was increasing as well as her overall sales/radio airplay, and as long as she maintains a stable tour atmosphere, she’s perfectly fine for years and years to come :music:

Feels was about as cute as a hit can get. It reached its peak in both the US and UK and then tumbled down a couple weeks later into oblivion. Completely forkatygotten.

my thoughts exactly; it had no staying power whatsoever, if Katy is relying on singles to keep her career going, she needs to pick and choose wisely, because she’s no chart magnet like Rihanna. :emma:
