It's folk rock so maybe they just release it along with the movie and don't give it a full promo. A studio album would take thunder away from the soundtrack and vice versa. I am sure there is a big promo run for the movie and soundtrack which Gaga has to fullfill in April/May so there is no time and room to do promo for a studio album. There are many soundtracks with various artists, and it wasn't given a full promo. They just put it out and leave it that way. Why would she have a meeting about a soundtrack that’s being released at WB with Interscope... The only reason she would meet with Interscope is for new, non-ASIB related music. Most movies give no promo to the soundtrack. They usually just organically get promoted from the movie. I just can't see her pushing a folk rock album as a full on Gaga promo. Plus, it's not like this is some huge blockbuster film anyway. It'll probably do mediocre, and that's probably because most people watching are interested to see Gaga act. Unless I'm ignorant or something, artists don't really do a whole lot of promotion for soundtracks anyway, unless they have like a standalone single that is part of the soundtrack. I don't think that's the case with Gaga though since she's in the studio right now, and the soundtrack would have been done by now. The movie's probably not going to have a lot of promo, so it makes sense for her to make an album, or the very least an EP. Monsters and the GP are always craving new music, and this could actually help a whole lot, promo wise.She can promote the album/EP and promote the movie at the same time. Meanwhile they're taped down to finish something, obviously needing to meet a certain deadline, recording day and night in between tour shows. Something is coming very soon. Gaga said back in August she has started writing her new album. DJWS confirmed on Twitter in October that he's producing it. They spent almost one month in the studio in Portland. Then DJWS joined her in a tour bus and started teasing everything. Exactly, I said that in one other post, the tour dates hints to something big. She might launch new music this month and promote heavily on that week, then she can promote on every big radio in the cities that has JWT shows. Then, after 18 of December she can promote other songs to promote the album. And after february she can promote the album and the movie together. By interviews WB must have forced her to do. This is not 50 shades of Grey or James Bond she is starring in. At this point, I do not think the soundtrack is going to get promo. A full LG album would do SO much better promoting the movie.
