really? :O:( I think it's sad but it does not surprise me, Anglo-American culture is displacing other cultures

It was a joke. She did say "I don't wanna be French" but that was a slip. She meant to say the word "friends" from the Bad Romance bridge. But yes, she barely sings the French part anymore. I don't think it's intentional or meant to demean.

Great idea! She could have had a translator by her side. Montreal has the second-largest number of international organizations after New York in North America, there are many simultaneous translators here. Yes, I would appreciate it that she could have taken a short break and let it translate it the meantime. To bridge the time, a Lady Gags song could have been played or Lady Gaga could give simply autograms, etc.

I understand being protective of one's culture and language, but I really don't understand this outrage.

You're acting like Gaga was actively trying to erase your culture and disrespect it. She used as much french as she could. She's an english speaking american artist.

And you honestly expecting her to have a translator is so extra. Fans are there to listen to her, not some translator :saladga: Would anyone really be excited to have half the show be spent on translating what she is saying oh my god. I'm really trying to treat this like it's real and not trolling but come on.

Stop bitching

If you want to make a change, why don't you start by going out and making a difference instead of bitching about language and flags on a website dedicated to Lady Gaga

When Quebec is independent from Canada then you can be angry. You cannot be angry and so entitled because YOU personally like to believe Quebec is "different from Canada." She held the country's flag and I don't understand how someone could be this angry about it.

Plus, at least she recognizes that it's a French province. She tried her best to speak and communicate in French, which makes your anger that much more useless and with no real motive behind it.

Now you're suggesting she uses a translator? :rip: So, you're in this party. This huge elaborate party. You're in the mood, and you're so into the music. The aesthetic is just right and it fits your aura.

But oh wait, Gaga must pause to ****ing use a translator in between songs. NO. :air:

People who bought a ticket to see Lady Gaga probably understand a word or two in English. Recall that her music is English. People who don't speak English and don't like English probably don't listen to English so they wouldn't go to her concert in the first place.

Don't be so entitled in life. It's really not cute.

omg this is too long to read. Let me guess, Montreal doesn't use the Canada flag because it is not actually in Canada? Is that it?
