Tolkien are in talks with Amazon Studios to develop a series based on the late author’s “The Lord of the Rings” novels. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is said by sources with knowledge of the situation to be personally involved in the negotiations, which are still in very early stages. No deal has been set. He spoke about it like it was set in stone, so I'm really not confident this sail's gonna ship anytime soon. I'd be shook for another sip of the LOTR universe but tbh I'd be too afraid of them ruining a classic the same way they've done with every remake lately. If they are wanting to do a series why not a complete Narnia, starting with the Magicians Nephew (the actual starting point/one that has yet to see the screen)? I liked the addition of the necromancer angle for example. While I am highly interested in a series based LOTR, they really should have let more time pass before even considering another adaptation.
