OMG who TF says this is bad playing?? WHOEVER said that acts like they never made a mistake playing an instrument!!! Musicians don't play 100% perfect notes all the time when they are warming up, not even performing or recording takes <.< This is impressive playing, because she just remembered it off the top of her head after learning it probably wayyyy back during college or high school. She and the other pianist are just goofing off and improvising, who tf expects that to be rehearsed and mistake free?

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3

Where did I say they are even remotely from the hardest end of pieces to play?? And when did I say she has not studied piano and had classical lessons? Nowhere... BUT it doesnt change the fact about her level of skills.

Totally missed the point, the point was you have to have exceptional skills to get into that school, give credit where it's due.

ok yeah she's not ****ing liberace, and she never claimed to be, but that's still really good playing... She's been playing since she's four so she clearly knows how to play the ****ing instrument. it's probably been a while since she's whipped out her czerny books for technique or hammered out some Liszt hungarian rhapsody because she's a ****ing popstar who still has to play her OWN ****ing music, focus on business matters, improve her voice, and deal with a **** ton of other projects. The fact that she can still play the piano as well as she can is amazing considering everything else she's involved in. and this is coming from someone who plays jazz piano on the reg. and is classically trained. some of you users can sit your pretentious asses down... :staymad:

Finally someone who's more objective

I think she just needs some more practice. If what she says about her childhood is really true (and I believe so), she got to a pretty high level. The thing with piano is if you go just 6 months without practicing on a daily basis, you lose almost all your flexibility and speed :duck:

That's no joke either. I was made to play at 8 and stopped at 14 when my puberty had enough of that bullshit of going to musical school and practising.

Now I have a 14 year old daughter myself that was interested in playing so we bought her a keyboard and a basic book to learn where the notes are and a few tunes.

Holy **** I didn't remember where the notes were myself and was stunned how I could have forgotten all those hours of being forced into practise and now not remembering ****.

Right? I stopped playing and went from being able to play some Chopin ballade (not that hard either) to just a few Bach fugues

PS: Wow idk if someone felt offended by my comment or anything. I wasn't trying to criticize Gaga in any way; just saying that she has many excuses to be a bit rusty at the piano :duck:
