She tries to play with it by talking about her illness, her kidney transplant, except that there are millions of people who deal with it and fight diseases all the time. They're all inspirational, nothing special about her. So I think when you're famous, being inspirational is actually spreading inspiration to a vast number of people with a message of love, which would influence those people to do bigger things, for themselves and/or for the world. Where is the evidence that Selena Gomez did that? You can talk about Oprah, who's inspirational, was molested as a child, lived in poverty and with all of that she still succeded out of all the things that should've made her lose. Michael Jackson is inspirational, inspired a long list of artists that are in the spotlight today, that made them want to become a performer. Obama is inspirational, inspiring poc that anything is possible that they can become the damn president of their country. Selena Gomez is just not big enough in my opinion to be "inspiring", she's not on that level, she probably inspired her fans but they probably all like her cause she's pretty since there are no talent on her part, and they deep down know it. This world nowadays throw words around like they mean nothing.
