I don't throw around sexual assault lazily. What you need to understand about sexual assault is that it's the victim that feels assaulted.

The fact that the child was there in the first place is totally irrelevant to the incident now and it was not wrong for him to have been at that event, whatever it was. Spacey's intoxication is no excuse for his behaviour.

Rapp remembers Spacey physically picking him up, placing him down and then laying down on top of him with the intention feeling somewhat sexual to Rapp. Your breakdown of what happened is so one-sided; it's as if you haven't read Rapp's comments.

As "someone who works in the industry", you should have known that the network was going to check into the allegations and also reach out to see if there were problems on the set. People are out of a job because of Kevin Spacey...his actions! People are NOT out of a job because the victims told their story. 

Unfortunately, House of Cards is not the kind of show that can go on without its main star...not at the onset of the sixth season with the kind of budget it had. Also, Spacey was the executive producer of the show. Of course, Netflix wants to cut all ties and get as far away from him and his show as possible!

Whether he thought it was sexual assault or not, the choice isn't up to him. How his actions affect others is not his call to make. I hope the victims can eventually move on from this.
