Pink On Taylor Swift’s ‘Silent’ Activism | WWHL

I believe that in the end that those who act and speak out for social injustices during their eras and careers mean more to the world, as all is said and done. History backs this up.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I don’t think she’s specifically aiming towards Taylor... the title is misleading.

No it’s not. The girl who called mentioned Taylor Swift as an example of those who stay silent. And Pink replied to that.

Also it’s the title of the video.

She seriously said "if you don't support BLM, unfollow me"? This is why I sometimes feel at a loss with the world. If you don't follow a certain human rights group now, everyone thinks you're a horrible person. Like a lot of people, I support black lives, but I certainly don't think BLM is the answer. The movement is just a disaster. It started off well but now it's a tragedy with vast swathes of its members just participating in mindless violence for the sake of anarchy and an innate dislike for white people. When it comes to solving problems, that's not the way I roll, sorry. Those who support BLM might well change their mind when they can't get to work on time because protestors are blocking the roads, or their car window gets deliberately smashed during a protest or they're punched in the street for no reason other than being white. All real, actual events that happen when this group comes to town. I don't support a group that believes destruction is the key to solving problems. And that somehow makes me a bad person. Also, I don't think you have to full on "support" a group to support the cause, you just have to support the message and live your life according to that message. There's too much emphasis on being fully paid up members of clubs now to be truly accepted. I'm a feminist but I'm not part of any feminist groups or donate to feminist causes. I'm an only child and I'm an introvert, I'm used to operating alone. I've never been a big fan of any sort of organised club and hive mind thinking. I prefer close friends and personal, one-on-one connections rather than a big crowd of people where everyone thinks the same. But that's not how society works, is it? 'Adapt or die' is the name of the game and it's stripping everyone of their personality and their own thoughts.
