And to the one above me: those are lies. I don't like the Israeli government so much as well. But one thing is for sure, they support Gaza with electricity, water and donations. Then, their rulers decide to take it all and educate them to hate Israel. No. I'm not going to side with that.

I just noticed this edit and I shouldn’t reply but...

This is actually sad that you believe in all this propaganda. You are the one who needs to do more research in this topic and check with human rights organizations, start with this Israeli org:

http://m.btselem.org/

About “educating to hate”, maybe check this too

But now you’ll say “there’s evil people on both sides”, although you just said:

“I’m not gonna side with that”, which is dismissing and dehumanizing whole population, because you believe they’re “educated to hate” and “ungrateful” to brutal military occupation for 60 years. Maybe you should visit Gaza and ask how many hours per day they’re allowed to have electricity. Maybe you should ask Palestinians how many times water was cut off during the fasting month, so they couldn’t break their fast.

I’m not gonna reply to you anymore, as this was all off topic, but your arguments are flawed and your little edits and additions are disturbing. Demanding justice for oppressed nation is not a trend, it’s been lasting for decades, because nothing is being done and most powerful nation stands behind the occupier. Different people care for different causes more than others, no one fights for everything equally.

Listen to more educated Israelis

@aphrodisio

I wonder what would you tell to these people?

Interesting you’d condemn extremists among Israelis and same time “understand their fear”, if only you’d try to understand the fear and pain and struggles and oppression of Palestinians instead of labeling them all as extreme and judging them by “leaders”, but no one can touch Israeli leaders. :smh: And of course you had to add “there was never Palestine”, I guess that means they could be wiped off (?) even if it would be true, which it isn’t. Not gonna comment on cartoon meme. :toofunny:

This isn’t about Katy Perry and stan wars. This is about human lives and decades of oppression, but hey, you have good life, so that’s all that matters.

...

In recent years, the spectacle of far-right extremists combining anti-Semitic dog-whistles and fervent, even rabid, support for Israel’s current policies has become increasingly common in Europe and the United States.

Heinz-Christian Strache, the head of Austria’s far-right Freedom Party, and who’s widely tipped to become deputy chancellor following last Sunday’s legislative election, was affiliated with neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic groups in his youth, and once compared the criticism he and fellow members of his racist, anti-immigrant party faced to Kristallnacht. Yet he is also a staunch supporter of Israeli settlements in the West Bank and even visited Israel last year at the invitation of Likud MKs.

The far-right Alternative for Germany, which became the country’s third-biggest party in the Bundestag last month on the wings of anti-immigrant hatred and thinly veiled nostalgia for the Third Reich, is another big supporter of Israel. The party’s deputy chairwoman, Beatrix von Storch, recently compared her party’s nativist ideology with Zionism, telling the Jerusalem Post that she sees Israel as a “role model” for Germany due to its combination of a “free and pluralistic society” with “efforts to preserve its unique culture and traditions.”

Von Storch, the Post noted, was among the founding members of a group called “Friends of Judea and Samaria in the European Parliament,” composed mostly of members of far-right parties.

In the United Kingdom, as well, neo-Nazis and far-right extremists have been known to pose with Israeli flags. Their staunch support for Israel dates back to at least 2014, when Israel’s bombardment of Gaza during Operation Protective Edge made British National Party bigwigs such as then-leader Nick Griffin practically salivate.

In France, too, Marine Le Pen tried to balance her party’s historical baggage of Holocaust denial and overt anti-Semitism with pro-Israel statements. In Hungary, meanwhile, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has been vocal in his admiration for Israel, while using overtly anti-Semitic imagery in his campaign against the Hungarian-American billionaire and political mega-donor George Soros.

In the most horrible iteration of the phenomenon, when Norwegian neo-Nazi Anders Breivik went on a shooting and bombing spree in July 2011 that killed 77 people (55 of them teenagers), he left behind a 1,500-page manifesto in which, among other things, he expressed fiercely pro-Israel views.

In the United States, Breitbart and its executive chairman, Steve Bannon, regularly traffic in anti-Semitic dog-whistling while at the same time pledging their “unapologetic” support to Israel. (Likewise, President Trump makes pro-Israel statements like no other, while flirting with anti-Semitic imagery and playing coy with white nationalists at the same time.)

I love how for some people "critcizing the government of Israel and the inhuman way it treats and dehumanizes minorities" is equal to "wanting all jewish people dead" :poot:

A reminder: Just because somebody is part of a group that has been a historically very oppressed, doesn't mean they can't be an absolute d*ck to other people for the same reasons. Oppression does not guarantee solidarity.

I don't find it funny at all, it's alarming & concerning for sure. I was actually siding with you over the fact other people are turning your thread into Palestine vs. Israel again

You find enough arabs who are anti-semitic, too, though. I'm not apologizing what is being said in the video, but let's not only blame one side. Jews were ethnically cleansed out of Arab lands, too

Who said that?

Also a reminder that Arabs can be oppressive to Jews too, even in non arab countries :)

I didn’t necessarily mean you, sorry.

I kinda went off topic on the last page as well, it felt like provocation and I fell for it. Sometimes people write long replies about world peace and sunshine and then later come back to edit and add something really malicious. That bothered me.

I didn’t say you can’t find, I addressed that in my post.

I was replying to that user’s edit.

Let’s try to get back on topic before this turns to you know what...

I don't wanna get too involved in this argument because I'm torn on the whole issue but you're speaking the truth.

One thing I will say especially is, there has not been enough scrutiny on Arabic countries who were ideologic allies to Nazi Germany back in the day. (Namely Saudi Arabia)

This is also interesting from your link

According to Gilbert Achcar, there was no unified Arab perception of Nazism:

“In the first place, there is no such thing as Arabs. To speak in the singular of an Arab discourse is an aberration. The Arab world is driven by a multiplicity of points of view. At the time, one could single out four major ideological currents, which extend from western liberalism, through Marxism and nationalism, to Islamic fundamentalism. In regard to these four, two, namely western liberalism and Marxism, clearly rejected Nazism, in part on shared grounds (such as the heritage of enlightenment thinkers, and the denunciation of Nazism as a form of racism), and partially because of their geopolitical affiliations. On this issue, Arab nationalism is contradictory. If one looks into it closely, however, the number of nationalistic groups which identified themselves with Nazi propaganda turns out to be quite scaled-down. There is only one clone of Nazism in the Arab world, namely the Syrian social national party, which was founded by a Lebanese Christian, Antoun Saadeh. The Young Egypt Party flirted for a time with Nazism, but it was a fickle, weathercock party. As to accusations that the Ba'ath partywas, from the very outset in the 1940s, inspired by Nazism, they are completely false.[21]

Gilbert Achcar, a professor of Development Studies at the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies, argues that historical narratives often over-emphasize collaboration and under-appreciate progressive Arab political history, overshadowing the many dimensions of conflict between Nazism and the Arab World. He accuses Zionists of promulgating a 'collaborationist' narrative for partisan purposes. He proposes that the dominant Arab political attitudes were 'anti-colonialism' and 'anti-Zionism,' though only a comparatively small faction adopted anti-Semitism, and most Arabs were actually pro-Ally and anti-Axis (as evidenced by the high number of Arabs who fought for Allied forces). Achcar states:

The Zionist narrative of the Arab world is based centrally around one figure who is ubiquitous in this whole issue—the Jerusalem Grand Mufti Hajj Amin al-Husseini, who collaborated with the Nazis. But the historical record is actually quite diverse. The initial reaction to Nazism and Hitler in the Arab world and especially from the intellectual elite was very critical towards Nazism, which was perceived as a totalitarian, racist and imperialist phenomenon. It was criticized by the liberals or what I call the liberal Westernizers, i.e. those who were attracted by Western liberalism, as well as by the Marxists and left-wing nationalists who denounced Nazism as another form of imperialism. In fact, only one of the major ideological currents in the Arab world developed a strong affinity with Western anti-Semitism, and that was Islamic fundamentalism—not all Islam or Islamic movements but those with the most reactionary interpretations of Islam. They reacted to what was happening in Palestine by espousing Western anti-Semitic attitudes.[42]

So don't reply. I literally do not give a single flying ****.

The videos are disgusting. I agree that those are bad examples. So are those all people in Israel? No. They're radicals and those people are dumb as ****. Unfortunately, the only thing you can understand is that they have fears. I'll leave this one to you. I was speaking about those radicals and extremists and never justified them. Your opinion needs enhancement.

Smarten up. Your argument is not going to yield anything. Israel is one country the world needs to appreciate more.

Oh, and by the way? My (not arguments) comments were and will always be flawless. Who's the one with the Diamond Heart? The generalizing queen or the world-caring king? Take your side and watch history happen. Enjoy.

P.S. You know nothing about that Israeli organization so allow me to lol.

P.S. Wonder why there are such restrictions? For the same reasons I won't ever visit that place because of their leaders. Think about it more. Why won't you actually go there? I'd love to hear what you think when and if you come back from that place. I do hope they can find a solution and have a country next to Israel. It was never Palestine. Sorry to bring the hot dish of news. Do some history, though, I'd rather work with what we have already, right? We should look for the future, not the past, but I know all you people who keep talking about this love digging it, so dig it up. Now please just go debate with your anti-Israeli friends or something. I'm not looking to do this. It's not gonna change the hatred you so happily spread.

Moreover, you're being blocked. One day you'll know the truth even though you're misleading and it's literally not your fault. You probably feel bad for me but honestly, I feel much worse for you. I mean, you love it, talking about me, the personality, right? Don't disrespect people who probably know and experience on their flesh MUCH more than you on some issues. You may speak for what you know. But don't feel too free to shut some people mouth and say that the truth is something different than what it is. Coming from a person who knows both sides and have friends of all types. I just don't stand people who preach hatred. I'm here for both Gaza and Israel. Not looking to divide anybody.

Bye,

"Sometimes people write long replies about world peace and sunshine and then later come back to edit and add something really malicious. That bothered me."

That's the mirror you're looking at. Being pro-Israeli doesn't make you any less. I can still long for world peace and want all of us to be united. This is the true Israeli spirit you're missing so just expand your knowledge. I'm saying this because so far, the big majority of people who went against Israel, once they kept learning about what it really is, found something different and surprisingly good.

And yeah, if I feel like I wanna add something to my comment I'll edit it. That's why we can edit our comments. But be sure, I don't contradict myself. If you don't understand me, that's you. Funny how you desire a hateful fight between us based on nothing. Leave Israel and me far away from your egoism. You'll find every reason to justify why what you think is right. I basically said that people can research more on their own and find out without having to read stuff like that. When people come to a thread and everybody says "oh, we hate katy perry", they're probably going to jump on that trend as well. There were psychological case studies on that. That's the last edit, now I'll let you keep living with wrong facts, looking for fights with people who don't even want it.
