So pacing issues are to do with the story and how its assembled so far. In most cases, they are issues that can be sorted out by a different edit of the film, but sometimes requires reshoots if the problems are severe enough or if you want to add one more scene to smooth a transition. It usually arises because those attached to the project are *so* invested in it that they lack the perspective of someone removed. That's where pre-screenings help. You can get feedback from audiences and see the film in a new light. So pacing issues could be not good or really bad; I haven't seen the film so I can't say. What I will say, though, is that identifying problems earlier on is the most ideal situation to be in as it gives you the most amount of time to make a re-edit so you can have another pre-screening. With a film like this it's even better since they don't have a lot of CGI so they are more flexible with edit changes. I don't know what they filmed or where the problems are, but pacing issues at this early stage in the post production process is really one of the smaller issues. This seems SUPER early at this point to even do a test screening. I mean it's not like they have to do a bunch of CGI for this movie or anything but editing still takes a long time, especially with the sound mixing they'd likely have to do for the music. There hasn't even been time to do the score yet, yes sometimes screening don't have the same score but ive only known one. There still re-shoot voice overs everything takes time. Believe me, let alone then the teaser then trailer 1 & 2 then screenings, then promo plans. Its ridiculous to think anybody has seen it yet. Not the full edited reel, no way. Not unless you work at Warner Bros Pictures or helped fund it. Gaga fans can be full of **** sometimes, take them with a piece of salt. Yes 1 movie I was a part of got leaked early but it went straight to dvd. (I cant say the name but it was awful and pulled out). The other was filmed the same time as ASIB its not out till next Christmas, still at early editing and not as big as ASIB I don't know how they are expecting to rush it for an early release. They aren't putting much time into it. Believe me, coming out so early and not in awards season is not good news. I was worried when they moved it forward the time means little faith and budget cut backs after seeing the dailies. Its not good news. The stress Gaga mustve been under on top of poorer sales of the album and tour on top of the movie having an early release mustve made her ill. It would make anyone ill let alone having Fibro. For an album that sounds almost country and an artist who is renowned for catchy pop dance music, she is doing remarkably well. Plus, she already knew it won't sell that well in FF2.
