She does though. You know how offensive this is for the survivors of the holocaust?

There will always be people offended by all kind of things and preventing that by jailing people isn’t the way; and **** what she believes, it’s well known and established that the holocaust happened, and if you have proven facts on your side there’s nothing she can say or do to disapprove this conversation.

She’s not jailed for being a Nazi. She’s being jailed for being a wildly outspoken Holocaust denier. These are two different things.

Should Nazism be eliminated? Idk, i don’t really care, seeing as it’s a dead ideology anyway that doesn’t make much sense in our current social climate. One of the only few applicable ideas of nazism for today’s society would be its racist component, and if u ask me if we should eliminate racism, then yeah, I agree. That’d be great.

She’s clearly a martyr in her own head, and maybe a little bit crazy too. If she wants to die fighting for what she believes in, that’s a noble thing, regardless of the fact that she’s really really wrong.

how is it noble believing that over 6 million Jews didn't die? :oprah:

There are  political movements in many countries who say otherwise :emma:

But gagadaily told me there’s freedom of speech and expression in the West, never knew it was selective :oprah:

Those who argue with "free speech" probably forget that the Nazis were also "democratically" voted back then ... Not every opinion deserves the same respect, especially when it comes to objective truth regarding humanity and historic facts and sensitive subjects like the horrible Holocaust and gas chambers.

Germany is a very delicate country, the Nazism is still existing there and a bit strong I may say, so to protect everyone in and out of Germany, they need to do everything to eliminate it.. if not, in the near future a new Nazi government can rise..

This, Austria is the best example where a nazi party is skyrocketing in polls

I think she knows what she’s getting herself into and she’s doing it willingly. True freedom of speech doesn’t exist and I think she’s aware of that. At least based on her picture in court.

I think it’s very noble of her to stand up for what she believes despite her age and the unfairness of the media and the severe punishment.

So in a way, maybe it’s better for her to be a martyr and face punishment for not betraying her beliefs.

This is the most ridiculous and disgusting thing I‘ve read on Gagadaily. I‘m from Germany, I‘ve read more than one article about this woman and she has in fact the same mindset as the people who actually participated in the holocaust. You sitting there & saying it‘s NOBLE that she sticks to her opinion shows that you’re either sharing this attitude or that you just don’t have any empathy for the people that have suffered in the third reich. If you’re lucky then you’re just stupid.

With that attitude you must also be thinking Hitler was a great guy for standing up for his beliefs until the last days of war.

You’re not making sense. I’d be inclined to suspect this topic is very close to your heart and if it is then I’m sorry if my comments frustrate you.

Denying the holocaust is not noble. Fighting for something you wholeheartedly believe in, regardless of the consequence, is noble. The fact that these two things are connected in this particular case is quite interesting, and it definitely makes the distinction harder to see because of the emotional component of the problem. But they are, indeed, different things.

Edit: @berlinforme also my reply to you

No.

Believing in something like world peace or fighting for equality is noble. Having anti-semitic is NOT noble. Noble is an adjective describing something with high morals. And there is no morality in what Ursula believes in. According to your logic ISIS terrorist killing hundreds of people in Europe and the Middle East is noble to you, too, according to your logic.

Yeah but they’re the minority, and even if they believed that, what would happen? Why is their approval so important?

Being noble is not an intellectual quality. It’s a personality trait. It refers to possesing high moral principles. This means that nobility manifests itself in your behavior, not your beliefs.

Please understand that nobility doesn’t lie in what she believes in, but rather how she behaves.

Hunny, the one not making sense is you.
Luckily it is quite obvious that you have no knowledge whatsoever of this topic - of racist denying the holocaust, so - maybe inform yourself a little better on this and then dare to repeat some stupid stuff like her being noble, media being unfair, her being a martyr and ****. She's not alone in spreading this lie and the people saying stuff like this are anything but noble - wtf.
