The Republican Party is in no way, shape, or form fiscally conservative. They simply spend money differently than Democrats. They are also (despite what they say repeatedly) not small government. They choose to be “small government” when it suits the interests of lobbyists and donors. For example, to say what a woman can or cannot do with her body (in terms of abortion) is about as “big government” as any policy I have ever come across. Therefore, I'd agree and say for the most part, being a card holding republican makes little sense for members of the LGBTQ community. However, one can certainly be a member of the LGBTQ community and be fiscally conservative, especially considering 90% of Republicans don’t fall under this category. Hell, outside of him being a terrible person, I couldn’t vote for Trump anyway based on the fact that a supposedly “fiscally conservative” guy was proposing building a useless wall that will cost taxpayers billions. Also, while this event was not solely about this booklet, nothing stated in that booklet is false. The gay lifestyle is an extraordinarily promiscuous, drug-fueled lifestyle. I’m a gay male and I know this to be absolutely, 100% true. It’s more dangerous and promiscuous than any straight person could ever dream of, and yet nobody wants to talk about it. Nobody wants to admit that the homosexual lifestyle, at its extreme, is insane. Before you disregard any responsibility here, or cast this discussion off as homophobic, it’s important to consider that in no other culture on planet earth can people so easily have sex with total strangers, whenever and wherever they want, any day of the week, free of charge. It is the most reckless way of living imaginable. People try and conflate the two to maintain constant victimhood - any criticism of gay culture is regarded as homophobic and relates back to childhood feelings of insecurity and abandonment. I will repeat: nothing stated in the OP is false. Stating that gay men have, on average, more STDs is not homophobic. It’s actually a fact.
