In the US, Into The Groove was released as the B-side to the "real" single Angel from Like A Virgin. Therefore, Angel charted but ITG wasn't allowed to on the official charts. EDIT: ITG was eventually added to some Like A Virgin reissue copies in the following years but it was never intended for that album. It was just an extra track that went to a soundtrack. Which sucks because Into The Groove ended up being the real hit, sold loads and was all over the radio, the clubs - it was everywhere. True bop of my childhood. True bop of my childhood. Exactly. Angel is cute and fine as it's own single but against Into The Groove was just nuts. Plus, ITG is one of those main songs people mention when they mention Madonna. Some could argue Angel did as well as it did because OF ITG. Agreed, my friend. The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw

Qualle1 1,385
ITG has been a huge success all over the world: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Into_the_Groove The reason why ITG did not chart in the USA: "Into the Groove" was not commercially released as a 7" single in North America and is not included on the US version of Like a Virgin. In the US, the track was only available as the B-side of the 12" version of "Angel", and therefore was ineligible to enter the Hot 100 or Hot 100 Singles Sales charts, which at the time only tracked songs released on commercially available 7" singles. "Into The Groove" charted as a double A-side single with "Angel" in Australia and the Dance Club Songs chart. The "Remixed & Revisited" EP was an official release, whereas the "Madonna & Missy GAP" CD was only a promotional item, which you got as a gift while shopping at GAP: I really L♡VE the REMIXED & REVISITED EP! All of the re-mixxxes are great... The bonus track was also a nice addition. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR

I lost mine somewhere and never replaced it lol. Remixed and Revisited was cool but I thought it could've been better. I'm a huge American Life fan tho so I could've done with 20 remixes of each song! Lol. But yea it's a good have to those who never got around to it. And yessssssss about that extra song, "Your Honesty"..from the Bedtime Stories sessions!
