Honestly, I tried to do it, but it's too hard :emma: Born To Die and Ultraviolence are definetely my favorites. They are such cohesive works of art. Paradise was something I adored a lot when it came out, but I rarely listen to it nowadays. Honeymoon and Lust For Life have their good moments, but I never learned to love them as full albums. I appreciate the various sounds they offer though.

5 - Honeymoon

A good album, but I tend to skip it more than listen to it. Favorite song: Salvatore

4 - Paradise

Also a nice album, but lots of songs just sound similar. Favorite song: Blue Velvet or Gods and Monsters

3 - Ultraviolence

A great album. Lots of memorable and iconic songs. Favorite song: Shades of Cool

2 - Born to Die

Probably has the most iconic singles. Amazing album that jumpstarted her career. Favorite song: National Anthem or Diet Mountain Dew.

1 - Lust for Life

Her most coherent and organized work to date. Lots of new and different styles and themes were used. Definitely a departure from her previously albums. Was a bit skeptical when she first announced that she'd be collabing with people for this album, but besides ASAP, it all turned out amazing. Favorite song: So hard to choose :selena: Either Beautiful People Beautiful Problems or 13 Beaches.

1. Ultraviolence (this is her magnum opus, a full body of work full of great songs like Shades Of Cool, Ultraviolence, Brooklyn Baby, West Coast, Pretty When You Cry, Cruel World. One of my all time top 10 albums. :firega:)

2. Born To Die (maybe it's because of all the memories related to this album but I really love this so much... Born To Die, Dark Paradise, Blue Jeans, National anthem....  it's also amazing as a full album.)

3. Lust For Life (really love this more optimistic sound, it may have some filler songs, but also so many amazing songs like Heroin, Get Free (these two really make me feel), 13 Beaches, When the World was at war, Cherry, Love.... May even take the place of BTD.

4. Honeymoon (I like this album, it's cohesive and has gems like The Blackest Day, Terrence Loves You and Swan Song)

5. Paradise (I absolutely adore Ride, it's the Lana song that I first heard and started to search more of her music. Maybe my favourite song by her. Otherwise, it's a good album but not the one I listen to the most.)

Illuminati

Now that some time has passed since the last release it's more like this

Ultraviolence
Honeymoon
Born To Die
Lust For Life (very equal to BTD actually)
Paradise

I don't get how you are ranking them backwards here but this list is from my favorite to least favorite.

From least favourite to favourite:

4. Born To Die/Paradise - I love the unique blend of Lana's melancholic songs,  hip hop beats and cinematic orchestration. But it's all a bit overproduced, and there's an awful lot of filler, on BTD particularly. Feels like cake mixture - the ingredients are all in there but it's not yet fully baked.

3. Ultraviolence - The first half of the album is completely stunning, feeling rich and varied in instrumentation and style, and features several career highlights, with the he wry satire of Brooklyn Baby, the self-assured sexiness of West Coast, and the pure melodrama of Cruel World being personal favourites. Lana's move into more rock n' roll territory feels simultaneously surprising and exciting and also completely natural. But I feel the album is let down by its back half, which all feels a little undercooked, with songs melodically and stylistically starting to blend into one. If the second half were as good as its first half, UV would be number one for me.

2. Lust for Life - It's amazing that an album with 16 tracks like this one manages to be all killer, no filler. Consistently strong production and songwriting all the way through, that manages to weave classic Lana numbers like 13 Beaches and Heroin, where her BTD formula is perfected, and genuinely surprising detours such as anthemic pop songs, Love and the title track, Beatles tribute Tomorrow Never Came and forays into political commentary with God Bless America and When The World Was At War.

1. Honeymoon - In my opinion, her magnum opus (so far). Like UV, contains career highlights, but manages to do what that album couldn't and is consistent all the way through. The changes in style and instrumental arrangement throughout the album keeps things interesting, despite this probably her slowest, most languorous record (and that's saying something). This album really feels luxurious to me, like I'm properly treating myself whenever I listen to it. Contains my personal favourite Lana song in Terrence Loves You, which is stunningly delicate and intimate and crisp and melancholic and hopeful and ethereal, with its stratospheric bridge being the best moment in Lana's bridge so far. The lyrics in songs like the haunting title track with its cinematic strings and the melodrama of God Knows I Tried feel like Lana's most intimate and personal, and there's even humour in Salvatore. Perfect.
