I bet if it was a woman like Britney, Jlow, etc, etc, you all would be like "omg woman power, slay bitch" and blah blah blah. Men success don't bother me because I'm also a man. I'm only bothered because of the backlash Janet got when JT tried to rip her boob off If he's performing, she needs to come out and end his career Spoiler Or give a cheeky throwback to that moment in hopes that she can finally move on from it. You're stinky
janetjackson 249
This is disgusting but not surprising. Justin better prepare for some major backlash.
tomsches 17,398
Why are you all bashing Justin for the Janet incident? It was OBVIOUSLY staged, like how can you even think it was not on purpose? BOTH Janet and Justin agreed to do it so they have to blame themselves, not white male privilege. And as far as I remember his career didn't "take off" due to the incident, he was successful before, then it happened, he got quiet and a few months later he released a new album which was successful as well. I don't like Justin's music or the way he performs but it's going to be a nice show to watch. Obviously you guys are only satisfied if a "pop girl" does the halftime show, but it can't be like that every year.
janetjackson 249
So let me get this straight. The NFL has stated recently that Janet is banned from performing. But the one person who joined in her performance and removed her bra is allowed to return? This is textbook racism and sexism at play.

Harry 26,836
I love some JT but the fact he is probs gonna get it after the way Janet was treated is messed up, however you look at it. He never apologised or stood up for her and the NFL still have her blacklisted? It's crazy. 1 hour ago, tomsches said: Why are you all bashing Justin for the Janet incident? Having her boob exposed to an enormous audience of prudey Americans? No one would've thought that was a good idea. The privilege doesn't come into play with the incident itself, but the fallout. Janet was at the centre of the controversy even though he ripped her top (staged or not). Justin never took a hit for it, but Janet is still largely associated with the incident. Justin ripped the top and is in the running for the halftime show, and Janet is still blacklisted by the NFL. It makes no sense, and I love Justin. But it's not really difficult to see it for what it is.

NewYorkCity 10,536
Good this will just remind people how lucky they are to share time in history with lady gaga. Anyway, this is so unfair. They have Janet basically banned from the country and the industry and Justin Timberlake gets nothing? Girls, he was the one uncovering her boob, he wasn't at the other side of the stage. This is what Gaga talks about being a man or a woman in the industry.
