But, I agree with you, and that was my original point. Trump's inability to focus on any real issues, his inability to get anything done and his bigoted views should be getting the main focus, not his criticism of a poorly run country that endangered its own citizens willingly. My point is that people on Twitter will spend so much time twisting what Trump is saying for such benign issues rather than pointing that energy to tackle the actual damage he is causing the country before our very eyes. Trump criticisng the Puerto Rican government is not a real issue. Trump spam tweeting about the NFL is not a real issue. Trump desperately trying to push legislation that will immediately put millions of poor people on death row by confiscating their healthcare is a real issue. Guess what twitter celebs will focus on more though.
Whispering 18,865
This is a man whose first thought, when asked about the status of his buildings on 9/11/2001, was to brag about how his building was now the tallest in Downtown Manhattan. Nothing in the world matters except that which affects him.
Whispering 18,865
Trump has no idea how to handle this situation. It requires a strong leader, and someone with some foresight and compassion...of which he has neither, so he is blaming PR for failing (preemptively) because of their debt. Therefore, when this becomes a massive humanitarian disaster Trump will be "free of blame" in his own mind...while we will all know who's fault not handling this will be. He is victim blaming (conveniently on POC again) and trying to absolve himself of the situation. Those actions are not the signs of a strong leader. Trump is weak and a coward.
