I Love "Double Dutchess"

I really don't know if I hold an unpopular opinion on this or what, but Fergie is just such a star and Double Dutchess is great.

Fergie has a way with her albums to bring you into her little world that she creates with her music. I just feel like I totally see her vision when I listen to her music, and this goes for both of her solo albums.

Not to mention, aside from some of the bops on this album, the ballads are OUTSTANDING. "Save It Til Morning", "A little Work", and "Love Is Pain" are phenomenal.

Also vocals y'all. She served them fresh and hot. The way Fergie changes her voice to fit the song is incredible. But her belts are so strong and tasteful.

Okay, gtg stream DD, bye.

It doesn't live up to the expectations that it would be as good as The Dutchess, but it has some gems.

Overall, the album seems to lack an overall sound or unifying persona. The Dutchess was great with this.

I really enjoy all of the tracks on the album (excluding Tension, it sounds like a Kylie Minogue demo), I've had it on repeat since its release. A Little Work & Save It Till Morning really are the stand out tracks on the album. SITM sounds like Big Girls Dont Cry's younger sister. The videos for the most are great, some are borderline lazy, she made Enchante a club bop but the video with Kendall Jenner is so lacklustre. Tension is a snoozefest also. The best video is A Little Work, she should have had Jonas Akerlund do most of the videos that included her.

Ive seen people bashing it here, but i actually think its a decent album. I'd say I don't like 1/3 of the album but the rest is really great. "A Little Work" is the gem of this album

I love Fergie and I'm here for the bops and the visuals, just not feeling the ballads sadly. I like to only listen to albums from start to finish (thank you, ARTPOP) and this one as a whole, again sadly, doesn't do it for me, but I can't help but coming back for the bops :music:

I like it too actually. On first listen I was very disappointed, but to me it's one of those albums I had to play a few times before I started to like a lot of the songs. I definitely don't think it lives up to The Dutchess, and I have no idea what is going on with her marketing team, because extended this era out for 3 years is beyond extra, especially considering the content we received. But the album does have some bops for sure.

I'm enjoying the album too but I wish some the samples weren't so dated.
