But Taylor started in 2006, Katy in 2008. I doubt that Taylor released 19 singles off 'Taylor Swift'. :selena:

She only has about 29-32 singles,  not counting the ones that weren’t from her albums.  Basically a gap of one era.

Well if we don't count the singles that aren't from their albums, then Katy 19. :selena:

There's no streaming for 'reputation' in it's first week.

And it has reached #1 107 countries in it's debut day :bon:

That's why it has sold 46k :flop: With Spotify, YT and other streaming platforms it'd sell way less :bon:

Aside from the amount of singles, let’s not discard the other part of my comment regarding the popularity of country music outside of the USA, Canada, and Australia :reductive:

So yes, Katy, who has been pop for her entire career, will have bigger success and popularity outside of the U.S.  Taylor is fairly new to pure pop, so of course she’s just beginning to rise in other major pop markets.

It basically sell the same with her last album '1989' which wasn't put on Spotify either if it was on Spotify. All tracks would definitely be in the top 50.
