For those that are interested, it's less of a traditional narrative movie and more of an exercise in creating a bleak and atmospheric tone. Beautiful but horrifically bleak. 8/10 Barry Lyndon - Actually a 3 hour film but feels [CENSORED Stop censorship at americancensorship.org] 4 or 5 because of the pacing. It's a great film but the running time really spoils the enjoyment for me. 7.5/10 Lolita - Early work of Stanley Kubrick. A college professors socially awkward obsession with a young women. So he marries her mother to be around her. erm...... 8/10 Nosferatu The Vampyre - The 79 version.
