Gaga really shouldn't feel the need to praise everyone who praises her. If someone likes me and I don't like them, I just give them a pass. When a problematic person likes me, I just can't reciprocate, sorry. I just can't get on board with a woman who thinks it's acceptable to tell a story in her autobiography about touching her little sister's private parts, tries to tell us that white people eating sushi is racist, sending awful messages about sex through Girls and showing off her naked body (which no one asked to see) over and over.

"She was 7" -- Children at 7 understand more than you think. They know at least a little about boundaries and what they're told is not okay. They obviously don't understand the implications and impact but they still know not to do some things and saying it's okay instead of apologizing is wrong. People make mistakes; own up instead of brag.

@JamesFox Voicing her opinion about abortion or women's rights has nothing to do with why people hate her. You're changing the narrative now. If anything, her actions are against young women's rights.

Honestly this page of her book alone gives me such a weird impression of her. She listed off a number of things in that second paragraph: the feelings of "perverse pleasure" in delivering bad news, the want to be very close physically to her sister, kissing her (bribing..trying to get her sister to be "more willing" - sister was resistant?)... When she was seven these feelings towards her sister were obviously very strong if she can recall them so vividly, especially if she continued feeling like this towards her as they both grew up. None of this seems to be one-off, I'd bet there are more incidents. Is she a reliable narrator here?

I'm just one example, but I was the oldest of three girls, all of us about 2 years apart. My second sis and me had the usual curiosity about our bodies (just visual comparison) before we were teens, but I cannot see how curiosity could manifest into what Lena describes. I never wanted to control my sisters or force them to need me, if anything having younger siblings makes you want more alone time. And I damn sure never had any desire to touch either of them. What Lena describes sounds more psychological, like she wanted control and dominance over the younger girl, which maybe subconsciously led to the physical trespassing. I hate to use the word normal, because that means different things to different people, but her sibling relationship doesn't even live in the same universe as mine. If this had happened to me, I definitely wouldn't want it spread out in a book for the world to see, either. That's tacky.

In todays world children can and do get put on the SO list... Both female and male children.. ive heard of a case of a 5 year old boy being registered.. So its not just because shes a female everyone is hating.. but at the same time yes very young but if she is aware as an adult that she was experimenting she was aware at that age.. still not ok to do what she did.
