Yes, I do. I enjoy both smart hip-hop and more rhythmic, production heavy hip-hop.

With Hip-hop I usually go for the beats and the flow and voice of the rapper. Lyrics don't matter as much but I do love rap that explores interesting and important topics as well.

I just love how y'all criticize Rap music for the same thing that's pretty common in pop music. Pop music is full of similar sounding beats (especially when trends take place), the themes are pretty much the same, there's a bunch of lazy/basic lyrics, and there's average or mediocre vocal talents that become popular.

But Hip-hop is a genre dominated by male artists so I'd be surprised if GGD didn't hate.

Born To Slay

I like rap music that isn't stupid. I'm not interesting in hearing about endless ***, misogyny, homophobia and just plain idiocy.

That said, I do enjoy more smart pieces work. The new Macklemore and Kesha song for example was moving. Same Love was a masterpiece. Not Afraid by Eminem was very good. logic's 1800 song (if that counts) is one of my favorite songs of the year.

Club rap can also be fun if I'm in the right mood. I like Flo Rida and Pitbull. They're mindless but good for a party.

I used to love, a lot. 2015-16 had a GREAT rap/rnb albums (The Weeknd big sean rihanna ty dolla sign kaye west travis scott) and 2017 totally RUINED rap. I swear that every 2017 rap song sounds the same, have exactly same beat and it makes me sad. Because i used to love rap like a year ago.

I never listened to any rap song if we except some with minimal influences, but I'm open to any genre and I enjoy music in a variety of genres, styles and degrees of accessibility. I actually can see myself listening to Brooke Candy - Opulence.

Anyway the popular rap songs I've accidentally heard are beyond tragic in terms on lyrical content and the vocals tend to be annoying. :awkney:

Yes. I like it mostly for the beats and the flow of the artists voice in the rap.

I used to hate rap music when I was younger, but I kind of grew into it and now it's one of my favorite genres :lolly:. I can't imagine not liking it, especially considering it's in a lot of the (straight) clubs I go to with friends and parties.

Yes plenty of different styles. Not the mainstream ones that much.
