I guess they'll be pretending H20 and Resurrection don't exist. 

Now they just need to get John Carpenter to score the film.

Mess though. I liked those two movies (even though they were not as great as the first ones), but I guess that's what's gonna happen

The people saying she died need to remember this series has several different alternate universes.

1-2-H20-Resurrection 

1-2-4-5-6

Jamie Lee died before Halloween IV in the second one.

Died in Resurrection.

And they stated it's a direct sequel to Halloween II (1981) so the timeline is now

Halloween - Halloween II - the new movie.

The rest now are not part of this story.

Guys, this movie is taking place after Halloween 2 and John Carpenter is behind the project. They're going to ignore everything that happened after that sequel, even H20 so yeah, it's going to be interesting.
