They all make sense together, and there’s a lyrical thread connecting them. There’s a song on there [that] I wrote when I was 19, we switched some things around and finished it just now, which is crazy to me. Most of the songs are very much synth-driven and have a lot of nostalgic synth sounds. Very pop melodies and big ad libs! They all mean a lot to me, especially since I picked them from hundreds of songs I’ve written over the years! It’s little bit like a “best of” record of songs only my friends have heard! What’s next? Finishing this record and finishing the first music video is my main focus right now! Then I’m gonna start doing performances! Basically a million things happening at the same time, but I wouldn’t want it to be any other way." Kim Petras has all the potential to become the world's first transgender pop superstar. Her success would be stratospheric and her music is already flawless. I believe her album is expected to be released at the end of this year or the beginning of next year, and she has a new song coming out soon. I'm beyond excited. The world needs in-your-face, direct exposure of a transwoman that they can't conquer, that they can't discover is trans without being told. The world needs to know that there are trans people who can easily go stealth, can pass as biological women, and that can hold power. This can be revolutionary. After Caitlyn Jenner, the trans community needs a public detox and someone like Kim Petras who is clearly indistinguishable from biological women and even in the far upper tier of beauty by American standards can make that happen.
