She's not following any trends in music with Joanne (The Cure is trend hopper) and that's amazing for Gaga's legacy + for her mental health and health overall. Obviously Gaga didn't have the vision for Joanne to be visually fueled album as some of her previous ones were. This era and album did wonders for her career and restored her reputation and basically it gave Gaga huge legacy. Like, Lorde's Melodrama doesn't do well on charts and that all, but the thing is that she put out a high quality piece of art out there and it's giving her legacy and she will be there creating music and in the eye of public more than current trend hoping artists like Dana, The Chainsmokers etc.. This era has a thought and a coherence, it's not like she didn't stick to a thing for her visuals because she did. Just like in her previous eras, she evolved with time. Did you expect her to wear green wigs and armadillo heels while she dances with beyonce in telephone part 3? No. This is what Joanne is, as simple as this image below. If you don't like it it's okay, but you don't have to trash it because she did everything she wanted to do with this album. I understand that she is an artist and people can't stop her from being an artist. But Gaga is also a superstar and she works for a huge label. Commercialism is what she does everytime.
