another positive review

"Amid all the Madonna fodder and other juicy tidbits, what’s most amazing about “Five Foot Two” ― directed by Chris Moukarbel (“Me @ the Zoo,” “Banksy Does New York”) ― is how impossibly charming Gaga remains. In and outside of the recording studio, she displays a rich cognizance of her public image. She knows what people expect from her, and how to upend those expectations. Whereas some pop icons can seem aloof, or like subordinates of a machine beyond their rule, Gaga is a craftswoman in every sense. It’s a splendid thing to see."

This really makes me feel like Rush might be actually legit...

No.

He was merely spreading lies all over the place, that's why we don't see him anymore around here.

Yeah, that's a sigh of relief. Although what kind of a person you must be to come up with such things...

From the Hollywood Reporter

"The 1991 doc Madonna: Truth or Dare was thought to have come very close to landing a best doc feature Oscar nom — and it didn't have Netflix behind it. This year, there are, as always, several very good music-related docs out this year that are worth keeping an eye on. Nick Broomfield and Rudi Dolezal's powerful Whitney Houston doc Whitney: Can I Be Me is one of them, and now there's also Gaga: Five Foot Two."

Hopefully Netflix does a campaign push for Five Foot Two. Not sure if they meant to say Emmy tho. I thought it would have to be released in theatres to get an Oscar nom.

I'm glad it's been well received so far. I'm glad she didn't take the vanity project route and make it into a propaganda piece - which would have been so easy to do. It seems like a lot of writers seem surprised at how charming she is. I feel all these people would completely fall in love after watching Gagavision (if they haven't already after watching 5'2).
