JoanneMonster 8,895
So I was thinking and I came up with this. There are a lot of villains that aren't really that bad: Ursula: She was a feminist, she knew that only with Ariel's beauty the mermaid wouldn't be able to be liked by the prince, so she took her voice. She's only asking for her spot, because she's Triton's older sister, but he is the king and has the magic fork. King Triton kicket Ursula away when she was only asking for what was meant to be hers. And she's not really a villain but: Sharpay from HSM: She's a hard working girl who spends all her free time rehearsing to become a star. She is the lead role on the school play, but then this new girl came and she didn't even really want to be in the school musical, arrived late at the audition, and got the part. Then at the end of the movie Sharpay did a great show but no one was watching, then a girl whose priority was studying at the lab came late (again) and stole her show, singing a song with no preparation and wearing a lab coat. Then Sharpay didn't even get the chance to perform again. Excuse me but if this happened to me, I would be more salty than Sharpay. What other bad guys in movies do you feel like they've been misunderstood by the basic audience? I See You

CautiousLurker 18,600
Ursula is a selfish batch, not a feminist Having said that, I don't consider her to be a villain, for one, because she told Ariel EXACTLY what would happen if she failed... Ariel knew the terms, and agreed to them, and Ursula gave her a legitimate chance - the fact that it backfired is entirely on Ariel... Hormones halting rational thinking is not an excuse... That's all I came in here to say because there are actually A LOT of movies that are morally ambiguous so the villains in them tend to not be just that - Lady Eboshi from Princess Mononoke is a good example of that... There are just too many of those to name... Making everything back and white is more of a Hollywood thing... Men are naturally more dominating, aggressive, and logical thinking because we have balls. Edonis 28,950
Fiore in Sailor Moon R: The Movie He's gay, an orphan, and in love with his childhood friend (Mamoru, who is basically engaged to Usagi, the titular character). It's not his fault the flower he was trying to gift was an evil life force draining monstrosity But this does bring the question of Mamoru's sexuality? Is he a hunty?
