Yeah I don't think these lyrics or content of the song are "album material", but doesn't mean it's not good. It has a deep meaning, and gaga can make any song sound good on a piano with her voice.

but Hair was? ...

it's possible.

She said U/I wouldn't be on the album, and it was. It's all Interscopes decision tbh.

Guys listen to Living on the radio :

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=MZVEV8gVXH8

and tell me that and PD are not similiar!

I prefer LONR - that song deserved to be on an album.

She probably did it for those who wanted LOTR, similar to what she did with FOHL and Earthquake.

But I would need recorded versions to say if they are really alike.

This song won't be on the album. You wanna know why? It is too similiar to :

- Living on the radio

- Stuck on ****in you

- Hollywood

- Brown Eyes

No.

i thought this was gonna be a really artistic, meaningful album--but from what marco (or whatever is name is) is saying, it sounds like it's gonna be a generic, fun dance pop album just to gain her radio **** back. idk, today just made me feel more nervous for the album.

don't get me wrong, i really like PD. but i don't see why she would play it, knowing she's being a tease, saying "oh it may not be on the record, and i know i really annoyed a bunch of you lsat year when i played LOTR and never released it, but here we go again"

idk it just bugs me.

I don't get it when people always perceive pop/radio friendly music as being a bad thing... :(

This is Lady Gaga, she (at the end of the day) is a pop artist, and pop doesn't have to be shallow or generic, Dance In the Dark, Bad Romance, Alejandro, Bloody Mary and Scheiße (along with MANY others) are proof you can have catchy, very danceable, radio friendly material and intertwine that with real depth, and real meaning.

Basically, there will HAVE to be dance/pop material on the next record in order to keep the mainstream public happy, and I just don't get it when people always think pop is generic. Gaga is living, breathing proof that it isn't.

It's just me though... :)

You know so many artists have that one sad song thats a massive hit , i feel like this is one of those songs

This....it's heartbreaking, full of desolation, something everyone will connect with...lyrics are superb. this needs to remain a ballad, and needs to be her lead single, watch her release on August 31, for the commemoration of Princess Diana's death (15 years)

This is in the same category as Madonna's "Live to Tell" (although I hate to compare them, but both are deep and simple melodically)

But this is referencing to death, suicide and other "dark" things, it can get really personal to someone hearing this. Hair is nothing like this, that is more of a song that is encouraging, and you and I is a classic love song so why not put it out there.

It's not, but imo I think it's good for her to take the risk of putting out songs that aren't always radio-friendly.

I hope the album has some bold, dark lyrics like this song

Some fans here are just sooo.....ughhhh I can't even describe it. They want her to write generic dance tracks like Rihanna and Katy Perry just so she could have a # 1. I mean seriously??????

This song is so beautiful. Can't you just appreciate a heart-felt song????

It's not, but imo I think it's good for her to take the risk of putting out songs that aren't always radio-friendly.

Because a year ago or so, everybody thought SLY will be a # 1 song?

Yeah me too, I love the "dark" songs, they are my favorites. I like Princess Die very much but maybe for the most success she should put a lighter lyric heavy dance song out for a first single. We want more people to follow gaga because she has a good message, so making a catchy song would do her best.

Eh, I was never a huge fan of ballads so this song doesn't really do much for me. I love the dark lyrics, though, and hopefully she has more dark lyrics awaiting us on the album. :spin:

Well, if it doesn't reflect the rest of the album in any way, so it's probably not gonna make it to the final cut... I hope she leaks the recorded version if it doesn't ..
