not much scary compare to original but that is strong point of this remake

I had a weird feeling this was gonna do well with critics, when horror films explore emotions or themes other than fear in them they are always so much more interesting than any other genre. However I will admit that the genre is filled with a lot of trash.

And I agree with @Karl, it's not enough for a (potentially classic) horror movie to simply be scary. The filmmaking, characters, atmosphere, and underlying themes are also very important, and often overlooked in the genre.

try it if available on bluray or stream service

mini tv series version on childhood also made me coulrophobia a bit

Honestly I tried watching AHS season 4 and I couldn't finish it because of the clown, so standing in a front of a movie about a clown who happens to be a killer is a big no no for me.
