But it shouldn't be sin to wear not a headscarf. A woman should have the free will to decide wether she wears a headscarf or not without being told that she will rot in hell.

Like I said, it's not us who decide if one will go to hell or not. God looks at the heart, not the outward appearance. But this law was there to protect their dignity as women as Islam honors women so much

I'm a fan of lots of her ideas (the liberal mosque idea was a bit meh to me...not that I hated it but I believe that women don't have to wear headscarves except in prayer...outside of prayer many Muslim women don't wear it)

The awrah is a debatable issue. I think that many agree that hair isn't part of the awrah. The meaning of hijab is covering. Both men and women have parts they have to cover.

not really. women still have the free will to do what they want. they have the power to say no for a marriage. they have the power to ask for a divorce. they have freedom to get education. they have freedom to speak. they can wear whatever they want to. but in everything we do, there's always limitations. in this case, they cannot wear too revealing cloths.

I'm just a 10th grader, but I've studied both ultra orthodox and moderate Islam. My school curriculum follows a strict and ultra orthodox version that contradicted itself several times. I've also studied moderate Islam in my spare time and it makes more sense. More compatible with both the Quran and proper hadeeths. Ultra othodox Islam that some practice is largely wrong in several aspects.
