She basically belts and he basically speak-sings and they don't fit well together; the contrast is very jarring.

Agreed. Jarring is exactly the word I would use.

Yes! I love jazz so much so when she announced that she and Tony Bennett (whom I loved before they even collaborated) were making a jazz record, I was over the moon.

True! She seemed probably the happiest I've seen her! You could tell her happiness and collab with Tony was straight from the heart. The record is very authentic and raw even just for that reason alone!

that makes me want C3C even though i'll probably only listen to it twice :giveup:

Yes, although I obviously prefer her pop music, I simply love her voice no matter what the genre is :classy:

Also, it got her her sixth Grammy :lolly:

Ahhh trust me, me too!

Wow, it's kind of ironic because I was about to ask you if you would be here for another jazz album.

Cheek to Cheek was the iconic Gaga moment that we never knew we deserved.  ICONIC looks, ICONIC performances,  constant gp praise, and that unforgettable time when the album was sold on home shopping network

Yup :nick:

In terms of Gaga albums, this is how I rank them:

ARTPOP = Joanne > C2C = BTW > TFM > TF

Billionaires are a cancer. Even the ones you like.

Yes! I mean how can one not love it when you watch her sing jazz! Her voice was made for it and I believe that album saved her life.

Daenerys

I love it. I don't listen to it year round though. It's my family's official holiday album so it's constantly played softly throughout our home as we prep for Christmas and thanksgiving and such.

I've listened to it but I have zero intentions of listening to it again. I did hear one of the songs the other week on a cruise ship amongst a bunch of other jazz/slow songs and I was like '...is that Gaga??'

Do you feel him sir?
