We're also supposed to get really strong gusts but sustained winds are supposed to be lower than previously thought. We have a bunch of wooded areas and huge trees so there's that too. If the huge tree in my backyard falls to the North (aka the direction the wind is blowing) then my house is gone I'm going to go enjoy this nice weather before it becomes terrifying. Myers and Tampa. Tampa is not prepared for this type of storm as they have neglected the storm surge infrastructure that would help low-lying areas. The outer bands are so huge. My main concern at this moment are my Florida crew, then my Georgia folk. I survived Hurricane Ivan in Pensacola, Florida so I can handle whatever this may bring here.
