I understand where you are coming from, but the point I am trying to make is that she built her empire with very specific things, not just her voice. It was avant garde fashion, high production music videos, and having an extremely close and open relationship with her fanbase. 

She went from doing that, to suddenly quiet, stripped down little to no fashion, no big videos, etc. I'm simply saying that if she is moving in a different direction, then simply state that like she has spoken about every other single move she has done throughout her career. And I think that's what this documentary is intended to do. 

 

 

(Now me personally? I wish she wouldn't tell us ****. I don't like that she talks about her relationships especially. But that's just me.)

Exactly. To be perfectly honest, she'll always be "hairbow" Gaga to me no matter how old she gets just as we'll always be her little monsters no matter how old we get. As long as she's happy then I'm all for whatever she wants to do whether that's wear yoga pants and a baseball hat or a meat dress 2.0.  Sometimes she'll put on heels to make her beloved monsters happy but she can't do the extreme heels for long periods of time like she used to due to her hip.

I can see your point, but to me at least there was a lot going on post ARTPOP that hinted strongly at the transition she was going through, including of course the entire C2C era.

There is also the issue that fans latch so tightly onto what she says that often times speaking ahead of time has backfired on her if something changes.

I think with Gaga the best approach as a fan is to just let Gaga come to you.  Try to experience everything with fresh eyes and ears rather than layering on too many expectations.  Gaga is literally almost a different artist with each release.  I find that fascinating and exhilarating, but I can also see why some find it frustrating.

I'm so excited. I NEED to know the tea on how she felt during and after the ARTPOP era and how she approached Joanne.

We didn't really ever get an explanation as to why she chose to do an album like that. I hope she tells us.

Gaga really does need to create space for personal life and recharging, so she isn't going to be running 24/7 in service of her career like she was at the start.  She burned out physically and mentally, had drug and alcohol problems, and relationships suffered.  She is right to avoid falling back into that state.

Gaga still has lots of drive, but it's not necessarily in the direction that fans want.  Gaga is expanding her career in other directions and is not intent on putting all her effort into being the top pop Queen.  So she gets accused of lack of drive, when really it's that she has focused in other directions.  But pop fans can be blind to anything she's doing that doesn't directly effect the pop measurables they are looking for.
