As much as I dislike TS, as usual I will probably enjoy her singles & listen to them... while hating myself for it :ladyhaha:

I need this to be her Mariah Butterfly moment in a sense that she'll be sexier and more outspoken.

If we thought 1989 was her "I don't give a ****" era, we haven't seen a thing yet. :gaycat:

I can do with Taylor being dark. It would be a different side of her which I am totally here for!

In my messy era.

Reminds me of Katy trying out dark era

then she released this

Katy_Perry_-_Prism_cover.png

The snake videos are dark and all but let's be honest, Taylor will probably release another bubblegum pop album about break-ups and petty feuds.

This.... Taytay knows how well she is received by the GP... She would NEVER dare to do something risky (yeah riskier than changing from Country to Pop lol). Especially if u see how the GP reacts to artists with risky eras (Katy, Gaga,...)

It'll probably be as dark as Prism and end up as the best-selling album of 2017.

Taylor doesn't have the guts to make anything really risky or tarnish the image she's worked so hard to build. She's a person who sticks to what works and she's in too comfortable a spot to change. Going from country to pop was hardly a risk. Country was on its way out (it's currently at an all time low) and pop was the reigning genre and someone with her business mind knew she had to adapt to maintain success. She made a really generic pop as well. It wasn't a risk, it was a calculated business move, a case of being a bandwagoner, the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" approach. And as for her image, well, being the innocent type who does no wrong is always a great way to get sales because the public like to show support for good people. Men can get away with being controversial and problematic while still maintaining sales, which is the main reason why Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, et al have made comebacks. But being a female with a negative image is a commercial nightmare. The only possible exception to this would maybe be Rihanna. But she started her bad girl image a lot earlier.
