ChicaSkas 22,403 Posted August 22, 2017 Share Posted August 22, 2017 So, when I was at the LA show, I lowered the mic sensitivity to accommodate the insane bass that was pouring out of the speakers I was next to. This caused the volume when played back to be slightly lower than I would prefer, meaning to hear the songs you'll have to turn the volume up louder than usual. However, there is no bass reverb and the sound will be clear and sharp. Does anyone have any good parameters for where the volume should be on a live recording? I recorded the entire 2 hour show. I'm pissed the overdrive cut 2 seconds of Ayo and 10 seconds of poker face but I guess thats the price to pay for a learning curve lol. The fact I effectively lost 2 seconds of Ayo and 10 seconds of PF is bugging the heck out of me. Immediately in front of me were guards and theater staff, continually pacing in front of my row, and I had blackout tape over some of the brighest indicator lights because of , well , not wanting the recording to be noticed. So in the dim light i had sensitivity on, and I want to shoot myself LOL BUT ...
