Season 5 is my second least favorite (right in front of freak show). Every scene was someone having sex with someone else. AHS = American horror story, not American sex story.

Civil War? Lmao no... The Hotel concept is better, to me. I feel as though the writing was sort of all over the place but the concept was amazing.

Sex has literally been integral to the entire series from Season One, onward. 

It's a show for adults, hence the TV-MA rating. It plays with sex, boundaries, the grotesque, and macabre.

You'd be surprised to know a lot of AHS fans actually loved Lady Gaga in AHS...

I was surprised to see a lot people on the AHS Facebook / Twitter I'm managing were actually sad to know she wouldn't be in season 7

Yeah that's what people don't understand about this show

To me, the only thing that didn't work on Hotel was the 10 Commandments Killer thing tbh... It also had very good points like, the Countess, Liz Taylor, the hotel setting, the music, Mr March, Sally, Miss Evers

And I'm okay with sex. But when it shifts from being "integral" to the storyline to randomly throwing it in there because they can, it loses its impact.

I think Ryan was hoping Jessica would change her opinion during Freak Show but she was adamant in leaving after season 4. So Ryan throwaway the whole concept since he didn't have anybody to fill that matriarch role that Jessica would play. This isn't the first time a theme got switched Coven was supposed to happen after Murder House and Roanoke was suppose to happen earlier in the show's run.
