BTW was never a gay empowerment song to me, for me it meant being okay with your flaws. :bunny:

Do anyone else's favorites from this album dramatically shift over time? What I do is I always make date iTunes playlists which I use to rank my favorite songs. Every time I make one they are completely different! Anyone else?

I think most of the world look at BTW as a self empowerment song that's geared towards everyone, and not just one group like most empowerment songs tend to be.

I can't handle people saying you aren't born with a s-xual identity and you just pick one up around the time puberty hits. Such ignorance. Human beings are animals - animals serve no purpose in life other than to live and reproduce. Of course we are born with a pre-determined s-xuality. I've known I was gay since I was old enough to realize that men are the more attractive of the s-xes (at about age 7 or 8), though I had no s-xual desires and was completely innocent to the fact that saw things this way. This is all in retrospect. Furthermore, my entire family new I was gay as soon I could walk and talk...of course, none of them said a word to me about, they didn't embrace it nor talk down on it. It was a non-factor that wasn't discussed in the slightest until I came out at age 19 and everyone said "Um...we've know since you were 3."

You might not have understood your s-xuality until after you hit puberty, whether it have been through denial or pure misunderstanding, but if you're gay - you were always gay and you always will be gay. I suggest you look back on your life very thoroughly, and I have no doubt you'll find some pretty obvious clues that it was always there before you ever realized it.

how did your parents know you were gay when you were a kid?

Because I always wanted girly stuff like Barbies etc...I couldn't care less about sports...I always liked flowers. Just little things. Yes, I could've just been an atypical little boy but they were right and they had a pretty good idea since My great uncle was gay, and my uncle is gay, both on my dad's side.

wanting girly stuff like barbies and not liking sports aren't signs of being gay

Like I said, they knew way before I did. The proof is in the pudding.

BTW doesn't necessarily have to appeal to homos-xuality. If anything, I believe that BTW has a great deal of individuality in it's meaning. Which means it supports s-xual orientation, race, gender, personality, etc.

Forrest Gump

so damn monotone.

the rest of the song the great. the build up and the ending in just epic but once she gets to the chorus it's just so boring. like the stuttering ma-ma-ma-marry in the chorus just isn't catchy or memorable at all unlike her other songs.

i think this was one of the reason's it flopped tbh
