pink sushi 4,351
I sorta know what u mean.. I don't know if "violated" is the right word, but after seeing this video i can't help but feel a little depressed. I just view gaga as the most perfect flawless person. She's practically a goddess in my eyes. But now after seeing this video....i feel like she showed us a little too much of her past. Especially with everyone's theories on abortion being the subject of the video. I didn't want to believe it at first, but after reading some peoples interpretations it just makes too much sense to deny.....gaga obviously had an abortion before being dropped from Def Jam. I know it shouldn't bother me....especially since i'm pro choice......but i just feel like i look at gaga differently now. I understand why she would do it and how hard it must have been to go through....but i feel like all of this should have just been kept a secret..... I think art and music should be just as powerful if you drink it shallow as if you drink it deep." - Lady Gaga

It stings how she erased any thought that she was some earthly deity. Even though it feels weird now I wont get rid of what she did but rather embrace it so that I appreciate her as the artist she is becoming.

tiffa 169
Sounds like you don't want GaGa to create raw art...just flaccid, plastic, shallow art. I like what Gaga is doing now. It's so raw, so real... even though it's in a mystical or fantasy perspective. I love it so much. I can't with all these "perfect princesses". I didn't grow up a "perfect princess" and I don't follow other Pop stars.

Hillary Clinton 20 0
Sounds like you don't want GaGa to create raw art...just flaccid, plastic, shallow art. I think it's because we're not used to artists getting that personal. It's like showing a dead body to a 10 year old kid. He'll freak out but if you show it to someone who works in a morgue it won't even make him flinch. Even though I'm not a little kid I'm not used to having my favorite artists share so much of their past and present. It takes away my ability to think of them the way I want to (hero, goddess etc). It's not something I'm used to.

Not that Gaga wanted you to think of her as a hero or goddess in the first place, but this is why she kept her personal life private... because it takes away from the fantasy and the image of the Popstar. Gaga still put humor and fantasy in her video, along with the truth. You want Gaga to lie her career away forever? I'm not here for that, tbh. I like morbidity and darkness. Like Gaga, I am fascinated with it. I think this is why I like her so much. Aside from Gaga, I listen to artists who are raw and have an interesting past. People who have the perfect life or pretend to have a perfect life are boring.
