Rino 5,120
Yeah...as she said before dropping BTW: This album is not for the charts, I could easily make one and there is no doubt about it, I made this album for my fans." and when you open BTW CD you see THIS RECORD IS FOR U - there wasn't sentence like this in TF/M THIS. :legend: 月にかわって、おしおきよ!🌙
Nick 29
Personally, I like her newer videos a lot more. They're not so out of control and scatterbrains.
SebaMonster 0
the problem is not in storyline or whaterver connected with it. the problem is in their appeal to public. her btw videos were not oriented to a usual person, they were oriented to her fans. her every video from btw has a special meaning to little monsters. every video from this era reveals sth referred to gaga's life and her personal experience. that's why they weren't as successful as bad romance/telephone, which were made only for commercial purposes. The Video's this era were for the fans, just like all her other Video's (Duh!!! :duhga: ) But that's just a cheap excuse...
Italian 568
I think the Born This Way Video was flawless. I think the Judas Video was fantastic and very true to traditional Pop. However with a longer video the concept and narrative could've been translated to viewers a little better. Edge Of Glory was obviously rushed. You and I Video was average in my opinion. The one song that needed a simplistic video she went all out for and I don't think the video suited the song. I loved some of her looks though. Marry The Night Video is my favourite of hers. Its perfect. But the ending dance sequence should've been shown more because its her greatest! YES YES YES YES This scene = :legend:
Bloody Mary 12
My favorite Gaga video of all time is BTW. I think it's far more epic than any video in TFM era, although TFM era videos were more consistently good. I don't like the Judas video at all. It's poorly directed and sloppily edited and the concepts had so much more potential than what was actually done with them. I love TEOG because it's simple and allows Clarence to shine (remember, he died right afterwards). Yuyi is genius. MTN is amazing, but it's not perfect. Too much dance studio, not enough flaming cars. I think the only two videos of the era that are really up to the standard for what we've come to expect from Gaga, though, are BTW and Yuyi. But why BTW? She's just dancing with a black background! And the choreo is really difficult! xd
Bloody Mary 12
But why BTW? She's just dancing with a black background! And the choreo is really difficult! xd BTW has genius sci-fi storyline and imagery that recalls any of the best Kubrick (2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange). And I love the scenes with Rick Genest/Zombie Boy. And the genius Mugler fashion, and the Michael Jackson reference at the end. And it has such consistent "alien" imagery; I love the facial horns! And who can forget the Manifesto of Mother Monster?? When that video came out I watched it soooooooooo many times that day !!
Guille 839
I think this era's videos have been the best. :tea:

Tommy Monster 804
You may be right with that epic moments, I remember how it dissapointed me, that the skeleton gaga was in BTW the whole last chorus, there was nothing to bring this vid into perfection.... Judas was great, but there was no dance in last chorus, but still, I can swallow that one :D The edge... hm... I don´t think it needs comments... woke up half an hour earlier before school, just to see it and...... :( You and I- really surprised with this one, really good, but still reminds me of cowboys and things like that, which are not really in, or how should I say it... And Marry the night- the first preview of prelude got me and I was like this is gonna be great! ..... It wasn´t, except the end and the scenes going quickly... I missed the variosity of shots in this one, first gaga in car and on car, then in dance school, than again in dance school and in car... oh, sorry, I forgot those 2 seconds in bath :D then it breaks somehow and the end is perfect, but the rest of the video ....... I think this era is not so succesful because of her style too... monster was perfect, everybody liked her... now she reminds me an old woman sometimes... hope the next album will be more like TFM :) And another thing- the songs she chose as singles... yuyi could have got the best video, but it´s still one of the weakest songs from the album, and marry the night too, dont get me wrong, but except the end, there is nothing epic in this song in my opinion... She should have released BTW, judas, scheisse, BM, HML and GH and that would be just perfect!
Doot 2
I'm so sad Government Hooker, Scheisse, and Electric Chapel won't ever be singles. They were the best songs on the album. :confuse:
GagaSkeletonWay 2,073
I really want her to do videos like Bad Romance or Telephone, please Gaga ask to a proffesional like Lawrence or Jonas to direct them, you work too much;) And also... they don't get much views in YouTuebe
Tera 2
I guess I'm the only one who adored the Born This Way and You & I videos then?
Miel 15,009
I guess I'm the only one who adored the Born This Way and You & I videos then? I love them, too. I think a few of her videos from BTW have far exceeded Bad Romance and Telephone, imo. 3 points in and ready for more
BricksNStrings 215
I can't at the professional director card. Err... if you didn't realize but Ã…kerlund is a **** film director and I've seen his films and they were critically panned. Same with Kahn. Lawrence is an average film-maker. Tarantino ever went to film school. The Haus of Gaga are ~professionals. Are you really stating Dada's work is of lesser quality, for example? :sam: Gaga's had enough experience. She does not need a "professional" because her art is fully realized when she has complete creative control. You only see problems when in actuality none are present. This so much lol. Coming from a cinema major.
