That's StubHub and logically the tickets in those sections would be cheap if they're available face value why spend more or less on resale

Katy is a generous queen. This shows she's humble and that she works for the music not the bucks.

Witness is a masterpiece and you can take several seats :lolly: No but seriously, buy some tickets and take a seat to enjoy the queen of pop :bon:

That's probably still more than what my family would be willing to pay as ransom if I ever got kidnapped. So I'll just sit here silently and watch this story unfold.

While this does indicate she's growing desperate for ticket sales, it's actually kind of awesome that it's making her shows affordable for poor people who still want to see her. Feel bad for her, since this means this album and promo have crashed and burned. Still doesn't mean I'd pay $8 to see her tho :lolly:

That's not ticketmaster. Its resellers. Katy herself isn't selling at that price.

Yeah, it would be like going to see a bad movie...only worse! You have to pay for parking at least and it would take up a whole night! I would rather go see a good movie...or rent one...or anything really. Lol

I thought the same. As I liked Teenage Dream the album, I considered going to the tour back in the day but ultimately decided against it. Made the right choice when I looked up the tour online later. I watched the entire Prismatic tour on YouTube, someone uploaded the official DVD footage. As much as I like a lot of the songs she performed and the tour itself was a pop spectacle to behold, her vocals were dire and that was through a computer screen. There is no way I would have liked to hear that live. I mean, even when she stood still and sang a ballad, she still had poor technique and tried too hard. I think this poor vocal performance is partly the reason why the demand is so much lower for this tour. Maybe a lot ofthe Prismatic audience realised their eardrums couldn't handle it again. Seeing as Prismatic was her most successful tour, 1.5 million people all over the world have now witnessed (pardon the pun) her terrible live vocals and have decided they'll maybe wait for the tour DVD if they're fans, wait for someone to upload it on YouTube if they're casual listeners.

I only enjoyed like 5 songs on the album and her hits are overplayed so I just would not attend.

They need to realize quality is important. People aren't gonna just show up because of a name.

$10 is embarrassing. YouTubers on tour are more expensive to attend than that.

I agree, I have to like the album if I want to go see an artist live. The majority of material will be from the current album unless they're a heritage act who relies on old hits. You're right - name recognition isn't how it used to be. The public will no longer buy music just because it's from a big name anymore. To stand a chance of selling, it's got to be just the sound the public want and it has to be marketed right and Katy's just made one slip-up after another with this era's push. But even I didn't realise how few proper fans she has. After the sales of her previous albums, her YouTube subscribers and likes and her tour attendances, I thought she had one of the biggest fanbases on pop. But this era has proved to me that the majority of those fans were the type who only stan for someone when they're popular. Now that Katy's not making candy pop that tops the charts, is acting weird and doesn't look hot anymore, they don't want to know.

I'll probably go if tickets remain cheap for my city. I mean, why not? I'm sure it'll be a quality show. But this obviously isn't a good sign of sales if scalpers are lowing prices so that people actually buy them. And a lot of the dates still have thousands of regular tickets to sell on Ticketmaster. :wtf:
