Should Trump attack North Korea?

I know this is an impossible, ethical dilemma to answer, but lets try to discuss this question in a respectful way. The present situation regarding the rising tension between America and North Korea is alarming.

1) Without intervention, North Korea will be able to develop more and more dangerous nuclear weapons eventually (that will reach America and maybe even Europe).

2) Their leader isn't susceptible to reason. He is like a child, a very dangerous child and very unpredictable.

But, attacking North Korea will have a lot of consequences. Think about all the innocent people that would die. A new world war could start since Russia and China (relative powerful nations) will alliance with North Korea. America would get help from South Korea and the NAVO-countries.

All in all, there is a big risk. But waiting until North Korea fires first isn't also an option?

So, what do you think is the best thing to do right now (from Trumps / America's perspective)?

No, if the US throws the first punch they become the aggressor and no other country is obligated to help them, if NK throw the first punch NATO can step into action and deal with them.

No. This has been ongoing for decades, NK is essentially the world's teething baby that keeps throwing a tantrum in the night.

NK raising their threat levels has been done because they know trump is nuts and will come for them and NK will win against a NATO-less states.

North Korea isn't and probably won't ever be a threat to the US so there's no point.

They may now have the means to do some damage but that doesn't mean it's a move they will ever make. IF they tried to attack the US, there's a decent chance their missile will be destroyed before it can do any real damage and then the US will literally flatten them ending North Korea. If North Korea continues to build it's nuclear capabilities, the UN will just make life harder and harder for them until North Korea collapses.

Kim knows that the moment he launches an attack, his reign is over since there will be nothing to rule over left. It's all just hot air.

If the US attacks first, the cities of Seoul and Tokyo will be vaporised killing millions of people. Also it would create a diplomatic rift against the US as they will also be seen as responsible for the deaths in these countries. It is diplomatic suicide

Unfortunately this isnt true. It is extremely difficult to stop an ICBM

NO!! North Korea is not a real threat to the US. They don't even have missiles that could reach the main land. The only reason the US should get involved, is if NK attacks South Korea or Japan. Until Then, wait until they strike first. If we want to get rid of that horrible dictator, then there should be major, undercover strategies, with no lives lost to innocent people. THE US striking first should never be an option. We cannot be the aggressors here. NK has been doing this for decades. They want so badly to be taken seriously.
