It's not the liberal asking for more recognition for gender queer people, it's the conservative whose entire way of life is destroyed by two strangers of the same sex kissing. This is a very simplistic outlook on politics that I find reflects more someone's assumptions and fears rather than what people actually believe... All I'll say is that the term 'regressive left' exists for a reason... 

Funnily enough, I see a lot more liberals on my FB feed throw the 'snowflake' insult around when conversing about politics... Granted most of my FB feed consists of liberals, but still...
