Destruction of traditional gender roles lead to a totalitarian society granting government officials more power,’ wrote one annoyed Instagram user. Another one piped up and said: ‘It is not okay for a boy to walk around in their mother’s heels. Just like it’s NOT okay for a child to be disrespectful. So, again that’s when it’s the parent’s job to instruct the child in the RIGHT way.’ However, plenty of people were simply impressed about the mother-of-three’s forward thinking attitude and offered words of encouragement to the Zeroville actress, with one writing: ‘Lots of boys wear dresses from time to time especially if they have sisters. If you flip on them and say it’s wrong it says more about your insecurities. It’s only a dress, it’s not like he’s in a KKK hood. People are so weird getting upset about this.’ It’s not the first time Fox has discussed letting her boys wear what they want, saying that she did not want to get in the way of their self expression. ‘The boys can wear dresses. Noah wears dresses so there are no rules — you can be whatever you want to be in my house,” she told Jimmy Kimmel last year. ‘I grew up in a Pentecostal household, it’s Southern Christian,’ she explained. ‘The women in the church are only allowed to wear pants, you can’t wear dresses, you can’t wear make-up or jewelry, so it’s a really sort of oppressive environment to grow up in. But I sort of lean left of that now.’ Congrats to Fox and fans for standing up for what they believe in, putting the conservatives on the spot. It's just a f*cking dress. It's a piece of clothing, just like how pants and how shirts are a piece of clothing. It's just something to cover your body with and if you have a problem with someone wearing what they want to wear, then you need to figure out something to do with your life besides judging other people. Like, there are so many more important things to worry about in the world, but if you're too fixated on whether or not it's morally wrong to wear a dress, then please, just go, just leave. She literally is one of the only women who can seriously tempt me so bad, and her personality is pleasant as well. I am so glad she is supporting her child. Everyone can wear what makes them feel like themselves and should never be made to feel wrong or guilty for that.
