Same guy who's been bashing her career for years now. Nothing new

As someone who was at the show last night, I can't help but agree with the overall point. (However, his writing style is unnecessarily arrogant.) I've always been one to say that's Gaga is Gaga because she constantly transforms throughout eras, but the transitions were very uneasy. TEOG stood out for the vocals and for the emotion. Bad Romance stood out for the incredible dancing, energy, and incredible staging. However, a lot of the other stuff -- while great -- was constantly jumping back and forth between raw emotion, crazy performance art, disco music, and country. I'm not sure what the solution is, but I felt like at times I was watching two entirely different artists -- a pop music goddess and an up-and-coming country star. The most striking moment was when the dancers came out on stage with an entire minute left of TEOG so that the literal second she finished the song, Born This Way could start, without any transition at all.

I believe that.

What do you guys think would be a good solution?

Bunch of dance songs, then an interlude, then country/folk songs, then interlude, then ballads, interlude etc?

I don't think there is a solution.  She's evolving away from being only pop music, and we will probably see a mixture of genres for who knows how long.  Just Gaga being herself and doing what she wants.

I live outside the space time continuum.

idgi it sounds like a pretty fair review?

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Some valid points but the writer has a clear bias that distracts from what could be a constructive review of a tour that, like all shows, has room for improvement.  I had to see journalism lose merit over opinion and not fact as a base to build from.

Hmm...review was kinda harsh but I can also see what they are trying to say.

P.s. Why are critics so hyper critical of Gaga?

we all know why the setlist is such a mess, Joanne's songs are too different from her previous albums but she has to perform all the big hits(Poker Face,Just Dance, Paparazzi)
there's no solution at all

I see what he's saying but this isn't personally something that would bother me because I know Gaga well enough. Maybe when there is an album as different from her other shows as Joanne, the more country inspired songs should be separated into a different act of the show?

But honestly that doesn't seem to be that necessary to me for like, the first half of the show.

Most concert goers would probably just appreciate it as versatility. If she JUST sat at the piano for two hours or JUST sang dance-pop hits for two hours they would complain.

Maybe they can rearrange the whole setlist. They should also create a clear storyline about Joanne Vs Gaga

she could change the songs a bit but she's afraid to alienate the crowd that goes for the hits

also she probably had no time for that
